Suddenly she came upon a little three-legged table, all made of solid glass; there was nothing on it except a tiny golden key

Prada already did it with their S/S 2010 show, and  H&M resurrected it two years later (no surprises here though). This magnolia print takes twenty minutes to sort and another ten to put together. Nothing like the original version, since it uses different photos for the manipulated print, also less artistic looking (Prada made it look more painterly and better composed), but it’s a close match. This has been lying in the dark depths of my archive for quite some time now. But not anymore, since I made a “promise” of one new print per month.

Feel free to ask any questions, I promise I don’t bite ! :)

“Everything in the Universe has rhythm. Everything dances.” (Maya Angelou)

“However, cities and their design are invariably rigid and static. Nevertheless, they provide lasting emotions to a plethora of people ranging from enthusiastic tourists to comfortable inhabitants.

What would be the best solution to showcase this amazing diversity of feelings and rhythms of cities?

In our opinion, a “noble danseuse” Marina Gogeanu, discovering her surroundings, dressed in fashion-directed designs by Alexandra Nicu and immortalised by our good friend and photographer Martha Sarah.”

Last weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to get together with my blogger friend Alexandra at 10thMuse and work on a shooting for Coventry Fashion Society.
We took inspiration from the original Ballerina Project by Dane Shitagi, which brought the beauty of ballet outdoors, in an urban environment. The idea of contrasting elements (you’ll get to see that later in the styling) and unexpected locations to shoot a ballerina dancer in appealed to me. Jumping straight out of your car to immediately start photographing on location is an intense way to discover a new city in less than 24 hours.

I’m no beauty product connoisseur, but I know what I like and enjoy being specific about it. I first came across this perfume which I like labelling as “the one” while randomly browsing Liberty’s beauty hall. I instantly fell for it and its  understated design. I found this quintessentially floral fragrance to be  hard to resist, but don’t take it from me, read a detailed review here. That being said, I just couldn’t help taking this photo of the perfume bottle using a mirror and the available sunlight.
